It's amazing how often communications gear is overlooked, eh? Many people don't realize it but a shortwave radio can be a lifesaver in a crisis. A lot of focus gets placed on food, water, medical supplies - all important, of course! But imagine not knowing what's going on around you during an emergency. Without information, you're practically flying blind.

In addition to the radio, another overlooked piece of equipment is spare batteries. We tend to remember batteries for our flashlights, but how about spares for your radio? Or your portable

Spare seeds! Often overlooked, but if things get real bad having a seed packet for food crops could be a godsend. Anyone else keep seeds in their kit?
