For me, knowing how to repair and maintain solar panels off-grid is key—nothing keeps the lights (and jazz) on like renewable energy. Have you tried running anything essential off solar power in a pinch, OldTimerJohn?

Can’t agree enough about solar know-how being vital, especially if you like keeping the music alive like I do. One thing I’d add is being able to jury-rig inverters or battery banks using spare parts—it’s come in handy during storms when the grid went down for a couple days. Figuring out how to run an amp and fridge off the same setup took some trial and error! Anyone else experimenting with oddball energy combos or am I just tinkering too much?
