Strategies for Long-Term Food Storage: Tips and Tricks?

Been doing a lot of thinking about long-term food storage. It ain't exactly a walk in the park and there's a ton of factors to deal with - temperature, moisture, light, you name it. Anyone got some smart tips on how to keep our stocks fresh for years on end? Maybe some lesser-known tricks of the trade? Really looking for practical, tried-and-tested advice

A good radio signal ain't worth jack if you're starving, right? Mylar bags and oxygen absorbers are top of my list for long-term food storage. Keeps the food dry and prevents oxidation. And don't forget, rotate, rotate, rotate - if you're not using it, you're just storing trouble. Out of curiosity, anyone else here use glass jars instead of bags for storage?
