Really underestimated how fast you go through batteries when the grid goes down—lesson learned. Now I’m curious, what’s everyone’s go-to alternative for lighting if rechargeable batteries aren’t an option? Trying to beef up my stash for the next round.

Kerosene lamps have been a real lifesaver during outages—no batteries needed and they give off plenty of light. Candles are handy too but I always keep them on stable surfaces and away from curtains (learned that the hard way once). Solar garden
