Curious what folks are actually carrying in their EDC bags lately, especially with supply chain hiccups and all these weird weather events. I’ve updated mine to include a compact trauma kit, some basic meds, a water filter straw, multitool, and a small solar charger for my phone. Definitely noticing my kit gets heavier every year. Has anyone found a lighter alternative to bulky first aid kits without sacrificing essentials? Would love to hear what gear others

Lately I’ve swapped my bulky first aid kit for a small tin with just gauze pads, a few wound-closure strips, and calendula salve I make myself—it’s surprising how much space that saves. I also keep some dried yarrow in a tiny pouch; it’s old-school but works for minor bleeding. Can’t go without my multitool and a pocket herbal guide either. Has anyone tried one of those foldable water bottles? Wondering if they hold up over time.
