What’s One Prep You Wish You’d Done Sooner?

Looking back, I really wish I’d started building a solid water storage system much earlier. I always figured I could purify what I found, but a local main break a few years ago showed me how limited my options really were. Curious what others
 
Wish I’d gotten into pressure canning sooner, honestly. Used to just fill the pantry with store-bought stuff or basic jams and pickles, thinking that was “good enough.” But when fresh produce prices spiked and the power flickered for a couple days, really hit me how much I was relying on the grid and grocery stores. Once I finally took the plunge and learned to can soups, beans, and full meals, it was such a weight off my mind—and the food just tastes better when you’ve put it up yourself. The learning curve intimidated me (all that talk about botulism!) but it turned out to be much more doable than I expected.
