What’s the Most Overlooked Prep in Your Supplies?
Been thinking a lot about the little things that slip through the cracks when we’re building up our supplies. Everybody’s got water, food storage, first aid, flashlights—the basics. But in my experience, it’s the “mundane” preps that get overlooked, like spare reading glasses, sewing kits, copy of important documents, or even extra can openers.
One thing I rarely see discussed is entertainment or morale boosters, especially for longer-term situations. I always keep a deck of cards and a couple of paperback books in my kit—simple stuff, but I know cabin fever is real. Another often-missed item: extra charging cables or backup eyeglasses. I can’t do much without my readers!
Curious what others have found missing after running a drill or packing a bug-out bag. What’s the one supply you realized too late you’d forgotten? Do you tend to overlook practical items, or are there comfort items you’ve learned to stash away
