What’s Your Biggest Prepping Regret or Mistake?

Realized too late that rotating stored water is just as critical as food. Lost a decent batch to stagnant taste and had to start over. Curious what mistakes others wish they could undo—especially stuff that seems “basic” in hindsight.

Totally did the same thing with my meds stash—didn’t check the expiration dates often enough and wound up tossing out half of it last year. Feels so obvious now, but it’s easy to overlook when you’re busy stocking up on everything else. Also underestimated how much space canned food takes up (it adds up fast!). Anyone else ever buy those big bulk-sized bags of rice or beans, only to find out they attract critters if you don’t store them right?
