Totally get what you mean about water purification tabs—so easy to overlook until you actually need clean water and realize you’ve only got enough for a couple of liters. I sometimes find myself packing two, three different ways to make fire, but forget the basics like water treatment or even simple filters. Funny how our brains latch onto what feels dramatic (like fire starters) instead of what’s actually most likely to be needed. I’ve started setting reminders to check my tabs and rotate them out, since they do expire, and it’s easy to just forget they’re even in the kit.
