What’s Your Most Overlooked Survival Skill?

Been thinking a lot lately about the skills we tend to gloss over in our preparedness routines. Everyone talks about fire-making, shelter, food storage, self-defense, and so on. But there are plenty of other abilities that can be absolute lifesavers that don’t get much attention. For example, I’ve found that knowing how to handle basic sanitation in less-than-ideal conditions is often underestimated. A lot of folks just stockpile toilet paper, but do we actually practice what we’d do if the septic backs up or water is scarce for days on end?

Curious what all of you consider the most overlooked survival skill—maybe something you’ve had to use yourself that surprised you, or something you realized after a close call or drill. Is it barter/trade skills, fixing small engines, foraging in your local area, or maybe even conflict resolution when tensions run high? Would love to hear some real life examples or things you’re actively working on that don’t get enough attention on the usual lists.
