Noticed I always reach for my can opener and extra sewing needles, but rarely see those on main lists. What’s the one low-key item you’ve packed away that you’d never want to go without? Curious what folks would miss most if supply chains went down.

Can’t go without petroleum jelly—uses for first aid, waterproofing, even starting fires. Anyone else stash old-fashioned remedies like that, or am I the only one clinging to grandma’s tricks?

Old remedies are gold. Baking soda is my must-have—cleans, deodorizes, even helps with indigestion. Folks talk about big-ticket gadgets, but I’d really hate to be without a box or two of that stuff. Anyone else keep basic pantry items for more than just cooking
