Bug Out Bag Essentials—What Do You Actually Carry?
Been reworking my bug out bag lately and realizing how quickly the weight adds up. I’ve got the basics—water filter, compact stove, poncho, small med kit, multitool, and a couple days’ worth of freeze dried meals. Still debating if a hatchet is worth the weight or if a sturdy knife will cover most tasks. What do you all actually *carry* in your own bags, and has anything proved unnecessary in an actual emergency? Curious to hear real experiences before I pare mine down further.
