🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
May 06, 2026

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "Over Half of U.S. Adults Now Living Off-Grid, According to Latest Census Report"
B. "Global Off-Grid Living Index Ranks Iceland as Number One in 2021"
C. "Off-Grid Living: US States Offer Tax Breaks to Encourage More Self-Sufficient Lifestyles"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

Gotta say, headline A got a laugh out of me—over half of U.S. adults living off-grid? Wouldn’t that mean my entire HOA just vanished into the woods overnight? Now, B is tempting because Iceland seems like it could pull that off, but 2021 feels a little random. My guess is C: US states offering tax breaks for off-grid living. Politicians love tax incentives and catchy eco-friendly headlines, so that feels like the sneakiest “real” one.

I almost fell for B though. Iceland looks like an off-grid paradise every time it pops up on my shortwave chats, but I think that one’s just icing on the fiction cake.

Did anyone else pause at A for a second, though? With
