What’s Your Go-To Skill When SHTF?
When push comes to shove, I always fall back on gardening and basic food preservation. The ability to grow something from seed and store it for leaner times seems foundational, especially if supply chains break down long-term. I’ve spent years experimenting with root cellaring, canning, and drying—sometimes using methods I found in old books or from folks who lived through tough times themselves.
I’m curious about which skill you all would rely on first. Is it bushcraft, first aid, foraging, mechanical repairs, or something else? Or maybe you’ve got a less obvious skill that most overlook?
