Everyone talks about water, fire, and food, but I almost never see folks mention a proper means of sanitation—like heavy-duty trash bags, lye, and a sturdy shovel for waste management. In a long-term grid-down, a lack of basic sanitation can take you out faster than running out of beans or rice. Am I missing another “boring” but crucial item people tend to overlook?
