If Prepping Was a Sitcom, What’s the Opening Scene?

Picture this: the camera zooms in on a guy trying to make coffee with a solar oven while his neighbor builds a bunker out of canned beans. What’s your sitcom’s first scene? Bonus points for ridiculous gear malfunctions or mishaps!

First shot: I’m struggling to open a jar of pickles I canned myself last year, so I grab my “multi-tool”—which promptly explodes into a cloud of rubber bands and fishing line. Meanwhile, the solar dehydrator is blowing kale chips into the neighbor’s yard (again). Maybe the dog runs by with a roll of mylar blankets trailing like a superhero cape. Anyone else’s prepping seem to cause more chaos than it prevents?
