🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
July 13, 2026

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "World Bank Reports: Global Economic Preparedness at an All-time High"
B. "U.S. Government Allocates Record-breaking $10 Billion for Economic Preparedness"
C. "80% of Small Businesses Have No Financial Cushion, Finds Business Preparedness Index"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

Leaning toward C—80% of small businesses have no financial cushion just *sounds* like the world we’re living in, doesn’t it? Banks shouting “preparedness at an all-time high” feels like April Fool’s, and if the government ever put $10 billion into actual preparedness, I think I’d faint into my compost bin. Curious if anyone thinks A has a chance? Maybe I just need more optimism with my morning tea!

Going with C as well—“80% of small businesses have no financial cushion” rings depressingly true, especially after the last decade of wild economic weather. If anything, I’d think the number might be even higher! Now, if the World Bank had actually declared global preparedness “at an all-time high,” I’d wager they were reading a very different stack of reports than my local librarian self ever found. And $10 billion for preparedness? Maybe in Monopoly money, but in the real world it seems like those funds usually get, shall
