Immediate needs like water and warmth usually come first for me, unless the situation is actively dangerous—then I pivot to security. Defense is essential, but I’ve found you can’t think straight if you’re cold, thirsty, or in shock. If I’m indoors and things feel safe, it’s water/heat, but if there’s any threat outside, I brace the doors and get eyes on the exits before anything else.
